I am pleased to announce that Clustur has recently been moved to brand new servers. Previously, Clustur was hosted by an old Pentium 4 with only 256MB RAM. Not exactly ideal for serving a production web application. On top of this site, my old server also hosted many other websites. The traffic from this site quickly pushed it over the edge. As a result, I decided that Clustur needed some professional hosting with a trusted web host, all for itself. Given the fact that Clustur is built on the Django framework, I chose WebFaction because they were one of the first hosts to support Django. WebFaction has exceptional support and is constantly recommended by the Django community.
As a result of this transfer, users will notice that the site is significantly faster and no longer gets locked up on occasional page loads. I really hope that visitors will appreciate the new servers. They will serve us well as the site grows.
